Amanda Armendariz worked as a medical assistant on her path toward becoming a physician assistant here at Montes Medical Group. She grew up in Upland, California and attended UC San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She received her Master’s Degree at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles.
A point of pride for Amanda is being the first person in her family to pursue higher education and receive an undergraduate degree. This accomplishment and the motivation to pursue a medical career have propelled Amanda forward. Her favorite aspects of working at Montes Medical Group include helping eliminate language barriers, attending to the medical needs of underserved populations, and directing those who need it to specialized care.
After working at Montes Medical Group for some time, Amanda is most passionate about working in Women’s Health. She appreciates the opportunity to establish a professional rapport with these patients, counsel them on healthy lifestyle modifications, and conduct the essential medical screenings that promote disease prevention and overall wellbeing.
Outside of work, Amanda’s hobbies include drawing and painting. She is also a lover of music and attending concerts, traveling with friends and family, and attending both Dodgers and UCLA games.
